Short version: this website does not track you. We set no cookies of our own, run no analytics, and use no advertising or tracking pixels. We have no database and no login. The only information we receive is what you choose to send us in an email.
Who we are
This website is operated by Sachita Diagnostics & Therapeutics Inc., doing business as LUMENA, a medical practice in Orange County, California. If you need to reach us about privacy, use the contact address on our Contact page.
What this website collects
No forms are submitted to us through this site. When you use the appointment request or contact links, your own email program opens with a message addressed to us. Nothing is transmitted until you press send, and the message travels through your email provider, not through this website.
We do not operate a patient account system, a payment form, or a patient portal on this website. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone for advertising purposes. We do not sell personal information at all.
Third-party services this site uses
We want to be specific rather than vague, because two outside services do receive information when you load a page.
- Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google's servers. This means Google receives your IP address and basic browser information when a page loads.
- Google Maps. Our Contact page embeds a Google map. When that map loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, governed by Google's privacy policy rather than ours.
We have no access to, and receive no reports from, either service. We use no other third-party scripts.
Email is not a secure channel
Ordinary email is not encrypted end to end and can be intercepted, misdirected, or stored on servers outside our control.
Please do not send detailed health information, test results, images, or identification documents by email. To reach us, send only your name, your preferred contact method, and a general reason for the visit. We will collect your clinical history securely once you are a patient, and we will tell you how.
If you email us anyway, we will handle the message according to our obligations as a healthcare provider — but we cannot undo the risk taken in transit.
Information you send us
We keep inquiry emails only as long as needed to respond to you and to meet our record obligations as a medical practice. We use what you send us to answer your question and to arrange care. We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and we do not use your inquiry for advertising.
Health information and HIPAA
Once you become a patient, health information created or received in the course of your care is protected health information and is handled under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and California law. You will receive our Notice of Privacy Practices at that time, and it — not this website policy — governs your medical records.
This website policy covers only this public website.
Your choices
You can browse this site without sending us anything. If you would like us to delete an inquiry email you sent, ask and we will, unless we are required to retain it. If you are a patient, your rights of access, amendment, and accounting of disclosures are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
California residents may have additional rights regarding personal information under California law. Contact us and we will respond.
Children
This website is intended for adults. Our services are provided to adults, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through this site.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection and is a static website with no database attached to it, which removes whole categories of risk. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
